Why would I need/want this?

It can be either a replacement for wordpress 3.0.4 native gallery plugin if you are already using it, are used to the way it works and are happy with the way it looks but miss the features introduced by Gallery Just Better or just a simple no frills/no nonsenses plugin to display galleries of images.
